NCCA ACCREDITED NCCPT EXAMS

The National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) has been supplying the fitness industry with certified fitness professionals for over twenty years!
 The NCCPT currently offers five certifications that are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer (NCCPT-CPT) Exam

NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer Exam.

The National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification has been developed by the NCCPT Certification Board to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated competent knowledge and skills needed to perform as personal trainers in the fitness industry. Individuals who earn the NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credential have demonstrated knowledge of the professional domains that encompass the tasks and knowledge required of a personal trainer in the fitness profession. By passing the Certified Personal Trainer (NCCPT-CPT) examination, professionals are able to display their aptitude in each specialized knowledge area of fitness training.

NCCPT Certified Yoga Instructor (NCCPT-CYI) Exam

Expand your mind as you expand your professional opportunities by becoming an NCCPT- Certified Yoga Instructor (NCCPT-CYI). With over 20 million Americans doing some form of a Warrior Pose every day, this niche of fitness has become a certification all in itself.  Individuals who earn the NCCPT- Certified Yoga Instructor (NCCPT-CYI) credential have demonstrated knowledge of the professional domains that encompass the tasks and knowledge required of a Yoga instructor in the fitness profession. By passing the NCCPT- Certified Yoga Instructor (NCCPT-CYI) examination, professionals are able to display their aptitude in each specialized knowledge area of fitness training.

NCCPT Certified Strength Training Specialist (NCCPT-CSTS) Exam

Strength is the major component of all movements and the foundation of all fitness. All fitness goals, specifically sports or performance start with the person’s strength and their ability to apply it. Individuals who earn the NCCPT- Certified Strength Training Specialist (NCCPT-CSTS) credential have demonstrated knowledge of the professional domains that encompass the tasks and knowledge required of a Strength Training Specialist in the fitness profession. By passing the NCCPT- Certified Strength Training Specialist (NCCPT-CSTS) examination, professionals are able to display their aptitude in each specialized knowledge area of fitness training.

NCCPT Certified Group Exercise Instructor (NCCPT-CGxI) Exam

Group exercise takes center stage in most health clubs providing both trainers and clients a fun way to stay in shape and keep members coming back. Both new and seasoned professionals can reach more people and increase their marketability by learning how to safely lead and motivate members through a variety of group class formats. Individuals who earn the NCCPT- Certified Group Exercise Instructor (NCCPT-CGxI) credential have demonstrated knowledge of the professional domains that encompass the tasks and knowledge required of a Group Exercise Instructor in the fitness profession. By passing the NCCPT- Certified Group Exercise Instructor (NCCPT-CGxI) examination, professionals are able to display their aptitude in each specialized knowledge area of fitness training.

EXAM INFORMATION

Eligibility Criteria


Applicants must be at least 18 years of age prior to applying to take the certification exam(s). Applicants must also show proof of a valid CPR card in order to sit for
the exam.

CPR/AED CERTIFICATION

Once enrolled, you will complete an online self-paced, interactive, multi-media training course. The online course takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete. After completing your online course, you can immediately download a printable course completion certificate. If you are renewing your CPR/AED certification for employment or insurance purposes, ask your employer or insurance carrier if online CPR/AED is an accepted method of renewal.
